I believe in most cases positive only methods are all you need to teach a dog a new trick or shape some of its basic behaviors. BUT and of course this depends on the dog… I believe you can very successfully and in most cases faster change unwanted behaviors using a balanced type of training. That includes different tools that are properly used and letting the dog experience low levels of pressure.
