Recently someone asked me if they should be on a Dog Training Directory (https://www.usadt.org). Here is my reply, it is SEO based. I am NOT familiar with the website directory so my answer is only concerning the SEO and Marketing value…….

Any backlink from a dog related website to your website is good for you, so if this is free (like the free version of Yelp) then it is fine. DO NOT LOSE the username and password you use when you sign up.. $50 per year is the most I would spend to be on a website that you’ve never heard of before… If it is a one time $20 fee, do it… if it is free do it. Check it out, for the one time $57 you will get a backlink and citation.

If it doesn’t match up with your training methods and you don’t want to have part of it, don’t do it. 

Having the Citation (business name, address & phone) listed on the web in as many places as possible is also helpful to you. Just be sure the name, address & number are exactly the same all over the place. Don’t abbreviate ST some places and write out Street on others. Try to match what your Google Business Listing has.
