Here is an example of how to use the keyword phrase. Let’s say we want to do a feature or L2D article on same-sex marriage. First the producer would go to a site such as http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com/ and look up a very general term, like “marriage.”  The results will give you literal examples of what people are searching for. The word “marriage” gives you 2,406 results. (that’s high) Find a keyword phrase you can use which is not too high and not too low. (Too high gives you too much competition and too little means you won’t target many people.) Notice the keywords “California marriage vows” (approx. 310) or “marriage vows” (approx. 460) If you type in the word “same-sex marriage” you can see the results show that approx.  30 people are searching for this term in a search engine.  This keyword phrase wouldn’t target many persons. It would not be the best word to use.

Now the producer can write an article and include the phrase in the title and the article/description. Remember to use the chosen phrase one time per 100 words. Here is what the end results should look like to help with search engine optimization.
Ignore the giberish: that’s your description/article.

  • The keyword phrase is: Marriage vows
  • With a little under 100 words in my description, I added the keyword phrase one time and also added it in my title.

Keyword(s) is a word or words or phrase that someone would search for in a search engine. It can be the article title or the theme of the article. You want a keyword(s) to be what some one would type in Google if they are looking for the same subject matter.

I would like to improve our site’s results in Google to get more traffic to our site. Content is one of the key factors to get our site to rank well in search engines. One way we can do this is to have our Writers emphasis the keywords in the article. Try to repeat it approx 3 times per article (approx 1 time per 100 words) so that Google has a clear picture of what the article is about.

A good way to incorporate the keyword(s) is to create the title based off of the keywords. This is a different style of writing but it works to draw users to our site.

Try and use keywords that the whole world isn’t searching for (for example: evolution) A little narrower keywords such as: creation vs. evolution or evolution evidence. A site to help figure out what words to use is;
